Saddle Club lessons are not about riding circles in the ring. We focus on all-around horse skills.  Students are expected to take responsibility for the welfare of their mount by grooming, tacking up, cooling off, feeding and turning out.  Riders learn on the lead line, the lunge line, use the ring, the round pen and field hacks to improve confidence as well as equitation skills.

Our private and semi private lessons are 30, 45 or 60 minutes and our group lessons are 45 minutes. Most of our students prefer group lessons because they still have the opportunity for individual instruction as well as learning by watching fellow riders.  We believe that enjoyment and confidence are very important when riding;  Building a relationship with the pony is key. Nothing is rushed.  Progression is at the rider's choice.

Horsemanship and fun are what make Saddle Club programs unique.

Riding for Fitness - Mom's come over to the barn after morning drop-off (around 9:00am) for riding and a workout focusing on core and inner thigh.

Tuesday's are sold out but we are hoping to open a Friday 9:00 class as well as a Thursday 1:00 class

Pre-school Pony Pals  dedicated to 3,4 and 5 year olds who are in half-day pre-school

Available Tuesdays and Thursdays at 11:00 am

Beginning riding. Riders are considered beginners until they are capable retrieving their mount from the field, grooming, tacking and riding with control in all 3 gates.

Available Tuesday-Friday after school and Saturday afternoons

Advanced Beginner and Intermediate Riders. Riders have had at least 2 years of riding experience, are able to care for and control their mount both in the ring and on the trails.

Group lessons are available Tuesday, Friday and Saturday afternoons. Private and semi-private lessons are available for scheduling.

Show Team. Students wishing to compete at hunter style local horse shows must be independent riders. By invitation only, preference given to advanced beginner and intermediate riders.

Group Lessons are on Saturday mornings. Show schedule listed in calendar section.

Lesson time includes the student grooming and tacking up their mount, riding and cooling off. We recommend arriving at least 15 minutes prior to scheduled lesson time in order to not feel as though the ground work is rushed.

Lesson sessions run for 10 weeks. There is a make up week immediately following the session. Cancellations will not be rescheduled.
