Stoney Creek Saddle Club is a private children's riding
program focusing on providing riding lessons and camps for beginner to intermediate riders.
In 2009, we also expanded our offerings to include morning fitness riding classes for busy moms as
well as afternoon therapuetic riding instruction for children with autism, MS and OCD / ADHD.
Through play, riding and horsemanship children gain confidence
and a sense of responsibility while having a wonderful equine experience.
The barn is located at 12010 Stoney Creek Road in Potomac, MD - just 4 miles past Potomac Village.
It is a rustic place but very special. It is a safe environment contained by woods and fencing. The facility has two riding
rings and a short trails for cooling off or mini-trail rides.
Our ponies and horses are experienced and suitable for riders from beginning toddlers to experienced teens. Some
have impressive breeding and show miles while others are rescues enjoying a second chance. We challenge you to guess
which are which.
Safety is the club's priority.
We are heavily staffed and all beginners and young campers are led while on their ponies. No one is encouraged to take
up the reins until both student and trainer are in agreement. From there the options are limitless:
- Lessons
- Summer Camps
- Barn Bum Day Camps
- Local Horse-Showing
